Dutch Windmills

There are over 1,500 working windmills in Holland.  They are used for a variety of things including water management and the grinding of grains into flour.  Here are a few of them located around the area of Hoofddorp, where I lived, and Leiden, where there are literally scores of beautiful working windmills.

This one is located on Hoofdweg Oostzijde, near Graan voor Visch, about 3 kilometers from where I lived.  This is where the flour we used for pancakes was ground.
