Dave’s Sinfully Delicious Sin-nammon Rolls
• Two loaves of frozen bread dough (the stuff you can get at the supermarket – not sweet bread, just plain white bread) • Cinnamon • Brown Sugar • Butter (not margarine) • Chopped walnuts • Diced Apples
1. Raise the bread once according to package directions 2. Place the two raised loaves side by side, and roll them out, slightly overlapping them along the long edge to make one large piece approximately 3/8 inch thick. 3. Spread a nice healthy layer of butter across the entire rolled loaves. 4. Sprinkle a healthy portion of brown sugar over the entire surface. 5. Sprinkle cinnamon generously on top of the brown sugar 6. Spread chopped nuts and diced apples on top 7. Roll along the long axis 8. Cut the rolls in approximately 2 inch slices. One double bread loaf will make approximately 1 dozen large rolls 9. Let raise again according to package directions (approximately double size) 10. Bake at 375° until the tops are golden brown.
I smear a thick coating of cream cheese vanilla frosting over the top of the baked rolls. This is easy. Soften the cream cheese, and slowly blend in about 1/s tsp of white vanilla flavoring and enough confectioners sugar (several cups) and a little milk to moisten until the desires consistency is reached. |
