Resplendence By David Roth © 24 September, 2003
Stop Can you feel it? The awesome magnitude of creation Evident in all that surrounds us From the unseen to the obvious From the unknown to the known The guiding hand of Immortal God Revealed to hearts that seek
It begins quietly With a still soft voice whispering to the soul
Hidden in the weaving together Of the atoms and molecules That make up The fabric Of our existence
From the whisper of a gentle wind To the fury of a howling gale From the molten core of the planet Piercing the night As an angry volcano spews forth its power To the complex crystal grain of sand Gracing the water’s edge
In the beating heart of all of life To the very air we breath From a mind that knew us in our mother’s womb That counts the very hairs on our heads The infinitesimal wonder of eternal Deity Who was and is and ever will be
He speaks in all of creation His presence the world reveals For He is there And the sound of his presence is deafening
The Universe around is the canvas of His artistry Glorious in its simplicity Magnificent in its beauty Resplendent in its majesty
Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He Who sits upon the circle of the earth, And the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; Who stretches out the heavens as a curtain, And spreads them out as a tent to dwell in
I am Alpha and Omega The Beginning and the End Who Is And Was And Who is to come The Almighty
For by Him were all things created, That are in heaven, And that are in earth, Visible and invisible, Whether they be thrones, or dominions, Or principalities, or powers: All things were created by Him, and for Him: |
