Coward

In darkness in a hidden room
The coward sets about his task

A bomb placed in a knapsack
And left behind
Hidden away in a crowded rail station
Triggered by a cell phone
By a coward miles away

A letter filled with anthrax
Sent from an anonymous mail drop
Without regard to the innocent lives
It touches along the way
Cast adrift by a coward
Who never sees the faces of his victims

A call to holy jihad
Sent out to mislead masses
Masked by the trumpet of discompassioned faith
In the name of God
The innocent are slaughtered
By a coward hidden in a secret cave

Where is honor?
It fails in heart of the coward.
