Babies killing babies,
Children dying in the street,
Lifeless eyes are cold and staring,
Untold passing stranger’s feet.
Babies killing babies,
Senseless violence in the hood,
Foolish arguments that ended,
In a growing pool of blood.
Babies killing babies,
Over colors, shoes and turf,
Mothers, barely more than babies,
Planting babies in the earth.
Babies killing babies,
Using guns and drugs and knives,
Body counts keep climbing,
Babies fearful for their lives.
Babies killing babies,
Endless cycle, endless pain,
Babies killing other babies,
Blood and teardrops fall like rain.
Babies killing babies,
While the tide of life rolls on,
Never seeing, never caring,
Babies dying, babies gone.
