| Darkness. Warmth. Nourishment. Protection and contentment. And suddenly the earthquake comes. Shivers of pain in the surrounding landscape. Shimmers of change In the contractions Of the pool of life. Flash of blinding light. Smack of pain. The furies pierce the air With the boisterous sound of new life. Unfocused eyes. Rolling head. Salty tears. Pensive smiles. Gentle hands. Wrapped again in warmth. Held again in love That seems somehow familiar. The first awakening. Changes. Course hair. Protuberances. Urgings without ration. Desires without understanding. Spurts of growth. Clumsy. Confusing. Awkward. This is the second awakening |

| Rapture! Ecstasy! Pure and unbridled passion At the same time clumsy And fulfilling. Sweet scent of pleasure. Sweet taste of joy. Sweet touch of love. Eternal with hope and expectation. A beginning. The third awakening. Stiff. Cold. Painful, and then painless. Darkness. Senses fading. Sound failing. Salty tears That spark distant memories. Eyes that refuse to focus. Head too weak to lift. Bitter sobs of remorse. Agonizing wails of disbelief. Darkness surrounding. Walking into the light. And the sweet and loving hands Of eternity. The fourth and final awakening. |
